Description
An inspirational piece showing the Constitution, the American flag and the Iwo Jima Memorial. In the lower left corner it reads "to remain free, learn the values and rights on which your freedoms are based." I've shown this piece and one similar to it and it always seems to stir positive emotions and reach across the aisle.
The images have been worked with to create a very textured, layered look, with lots of depth, even though it is a digital print.

Nice artwork Evie ♥ Governments cannot grant or take away our freedom and words on paper cannot be trusted to ensure our freedom. We are currently taking part in a free-will human experiment and it is up to us individually to un-apologetically stand up to anyone who opposes our God-given right to be free.

Hi Bob, thank you for those comments. I do feel pretty strongly about this idea, to take the time to do a rather detailed art piece about it. And I enjoy hearing the feedback. I have never heard a negative word about it, no matter what sort of person looks at it and wants to talk to me about it. It did a lot to rehabilitate my feelings concerning doing art about the way I feel about some things. Thanks again!

Hi Evie... I like your image. I am a Canadian but your theme here resonates with me. A country is “A work in progress”...It is never “Finished”. Constitutions need scrutiny and amendments over time...Even the iconic photo of the raising of the flag took the photographer 3 tries with 3 separate flags to “get it right”. Nicely thought out and beautifully presented...Cheers Bob
